Hello friends, gamers and fans. I'm Petar from Bulgaria, known in every major social media as PeterSvP. Avid gamer and game developer, worked on very different things during my late teen and early adult years. CEO of Pi-Dev Bulgaria.
I've got strong interest in games when I played Super Mario Bros. on the NES when I was 5! Then I fell in love with Lode Runner for Apple 2. And while you can foresee on what may happen next, I was unaware at age of 5, still thinking that I want to work as painter because of TV ads.
My first "game" was written in BASIC for PRAVETZ 8C but it was just a simple trivia game. When I started learning Turbo Pascal, I wrote a Spacewar clone then I went all-in and made Dr. Mario remake (completely lost somewhere) and a platformer named Coinman that had some resemblance on Super Mario and Lode Runner.
Then I started learning Mark Overmars's Game Maker and started my first game "brand", NESRemakes. And of course I created a Lode Runner remake and a Super Mario fanmade game with AK47, procedural generation and emergent gameplay (enemies can also get mushrooms and weapons). Russian pirates really fell in love with Super Mario 2011. I then created a tetris-like game with physics and a hardcore platformer (foreshadowing?) that will influence my future self a lot. These games barely run on modern Windows computers. I keep them for legacy and historic reasons.
After I graduated in Burgas Free University, I've got my first job in the gaming industry - in a big mobile AAA company. I then started learning Unity and make prototype after prototype only to cancel them. A Minecraft-meets-everything game, a physics-bassed tetris reboot, an abstract game with balls (foreshadowing?), a VR experiment and finally I've played Spelunky, Limbo, Inside and Little Nightmares... I've started work on something that I and my friends started to like.
What I achieved recently is completing my first game, ColorBlend FX: Desaturation.
